We’re proud to share that our Managing Director, Stephen Harrison, has been named one of The Manufacturer’s Top 100 for 2025 in the ‘Inspiring Leaders’ category.
The annual list celebrates leaders across UK industry who are driving progress and shaping the future of manufacturing.
As part of the award, The Manufacturer asked Stephen to reflect on his journey and share some of the challenges and milestones that have shaped his career so far.
Stephen explained how he joined the company at 21 and found himself taking on major responsibility just a few years later.
“Four years after I joined, my father’s cousin died suddenly, and I went from learning the ropes to being a 25-year-old Sales Director overnight.”
Since then, he’s helped guide the business through significant change, including the shift from traditional rags to advanced nonwoven wiping products.
Asked about some of the biggest challenges he’s faced as Managing Director, Stephen highlighted that one of the biggest tests came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the company’s core hospitality markets came to a standstill.
“We adapted and worked with a sun cream company who had ethanol so we could make sanitising wipes. We were fortunate to keep nearly everyone on full-time.”
Stephen also led the company’s first-ever acquisition, bringing Ecotech into the business earlier this year.
“It brings new challenges across finance, production, logistics and sales, but we’re proud of how things are going.”
Reflecting on the achievement, Stephen emphasised that this milestone isn’t his alone.
“Any achievement I have is the achievement of the team around me. Right now, we have the strongest team we’ve ever had.”
