Covid-19 Support Guide

At Harrison Wipes, our goal has always been to help you achieve the highest levels of cleanliness, using the best possible products. We, along with the rest of the cleaning industry, are working hard to best understand how to support the NHS, schools, factories, offices and everyone else in the fight against Coronavirus (Covid-19).  With so much uncertainty around right now, we want to assure you that one thing is for certain, and that is that we are here to help you find the right solution for your business needs.

Keeping your building clean and hygienic should always be a priority, whether it is in a critical care environment, office of factory. The health and wellbeing of anyone entering the premises is critical to the success of each establishment and right now the government advice is clear: clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces to avoid the spread of virus.

So how can we help?

We have a great variety of products available and our team of experts are on hand to answer your queries and point you in the right direction to a safe solution.

The government advise using a disposable cloth and first clean hard surfaces with warm soapy water. Then disinfect these surfaces with the cleaning products you normally use. Pay particular attention to frequently touched areas and surfaces, such as bathrooms, grab-rails in corridors and stairwells and door handles

Use disposable cloths and disposable mop heads, to clean all hard surfaces, floors, chairs, door handles and sanitary fittings, following one of the options below:

  • use either a combined detergent disinfectant solution at a dilution of 1,000 parts per million available chlorine

  • a household detergent followed by disinfection (1000 ppm Follow manufacturer’s instructions for dilution, application and contact times for all detergents and disinfectants

  • if an alternative disinfectant is used within the organisation, this should be checked and ensure that it is effective against enveloped viruses

All cloths and mop heads must be disposed of after use.

Whilst there is no current evidence that any one cleaning products “kill Covid-19”, experience of new coronaviruses (SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV) has been used to inform this guidance and there is no doubt that disposable products are crucial for preventing cross contamination and the spread of the germs. Simply use and discard after use.
