We are celebrating our 125th Anniversary this year
We were founded in 1891 by present Owner and Managing Director's great grandfather, Saul D Harrison.
Saul started the company in Great Yarmouth selling recyclable material including rags and clothing.
Over the years, Harrison Wipes® has grown into the company we are today - One of the oldest and most knowledgeable suppliers of non-woven wiping cloth solutions in the world.
In 1991 we achieved ISO 9001 standard in recognition of our commitment to our customer service and product development, and subsequently in 2010 became BRC Global Standard certified.
1891 Fact of the Month - The Great Blizzard of 1891
The Great Blizzard, which claimed 200 lives, began on the 9th March 1891 in England when snow began to fall during the afternoon across Devon and Cornwall.
The snow became heavier with strong gales causing snow drifts across Dartmoor leading to 300 feet of snow in some areas.
Many were trapped in their homes due to the snow, and the fierce gales led to dozens of ships sinking in the English Channel.
Despite the snow thawing out relatively quickly, it wasn't until June that the snow completely disappeared from Dartmoor.
